Pusat is located on the western side of Cambodia. It is a nice rural town, with the Pusat River adding beauty as it winds its way through town. Phnom Kravanh to the southwest and the Great Lake Tonle Sap to the northeast add to the beauty of the province. With its 12,692km² and a population 418,303 comprising 201,870 males and 216,433 females. The province consist 6 districts, 49 communes and 501 villages. The district of Sampov Meas constitutes the urban portion of the province.
Pusat is Cambodia’s fourth-largest province, stretching from the Thai border eastwards to the Tonle Sap Lake. It encompasses Chour Phnom Kravanh (Cardamom Mountains), one of the most remote areas of the country. Small-scale industries in Pusat including fishing and farming in the north of the province; marble quarrying, as some of Cambodia’s only marble is found here; and the harvesting of sandalwood oil, which fetches huge prices elsewhere in Asia, but is disappearing fast in Cambodia. Illegal logging and poaching remain a serious problem in remote areas. Few travelers ever see much more than the provincial capital, but getting around the province should soon become easies with the complete overhaul of NH5
Neak Ta Khleang Moeang
Is the main historical site in Cambodia and located at Snam Preah Commune, Ba Kan District in Six-Kilometer. The site is the sacred place prayed and worshipped by tourists who come from the near and far areas. This venerable site has a statue of Neak Ta Khleang Moeang respected and worshipped by the Cambodian people. The statue is newly made and put at the right place because the ancient statue is completely damaged by the civil war
